How to prepare for your move to Romania

People who take the leap to move to Romania will find it both challenging and rewarding. Romania is not a very popular expat destination but for those who are planning to move here, it conjures images of medieval castles and ancient legends of Dracula. Soon enough you will find out that Romania has much more to offer.

A relatively safe country, Romania is very different to Western Europe. So if you want to avoid some of the challenges that most expats face, it is a good idea to research as much as you can before you arrive.

Let European Moving take care of your move to Romania. Fill in our short quote form now and then focus on the exciting part of the relocation.

What Documents you’ll need

Rest assured, we won’t ask you to complete tons of paperwork prior to your move to Romania. Moving abroad is stressful enough, so we will provide you with only two forms to complete and sign: a contract and an inventory template.

Sending your inventory as soon as ready is one of the most important steps of your removal, as it will help us identify any cubic capacity issues. Plus, a detailed list of all items you’re moving to Romania will help you load and unload them much more quickly. So, remember to print a copy of it for yourself and the driver/s.

What our clients have
to say about us

Moving to Romania

I have to say that we are very pleased with the service provided. Overall, the process was smooth and easy. About the moving itself, we have to say that the driver was not only helpful with loading and unloading the truck but he also showed he really cared about our stuff and tried to ensure that everything arrived in perfect condition. Therefore we give a 10 of 10 for their service. Both for the process and the driver.

I had a great experience working with the team, Petar and Claire were very responsive up until and including move day. A subcontractor is indeed used for pick up, loading and delivery, but what a workhorse Marius was! We had a very competitive quote, and it was clear that the service is only for moving the goods, packing, helping to load and insurance were done by ourselves. So you do need to be prepared! All in all a great experience moving from NL to the UK- all on schedule and intact.

It is always a bit nerve-wracking paying in advance for a service you only know through online recommendations, but we were really impressed at every stage with European Moving. Sarah at head office was great and sorted out our delivery and collection worries. Micheal the driver was really nice too – very helpful. The price was very competitive too. I would recommend it.
